Who we are and what we do
Southern Sailplanes and Flight Composites are both Part 145 aircraft repair and maintenance facilities specialising in composite structures.
Southern Sailplanes
With over 50 years of composite experience there are few problems that we have not seen and solved before.
Based in West Berkshire on Membury Airfield, we are ideally located to service customers from all over the UK and Europe.
Flight Composites
Also based at Membury, Flight Composites (sister company to Southern Sailplanes) handles powered aircraft repair and maintenance. This includes major damage to composite structures often wrongly considered to be beyond repair. Click here for more information.
Membury Airfield
Handles all aspects of maintaining and operating the airfield. There are two hard runways and three grass. Click here for more information.

Back Page Adverts
When it comes to advertising we have always been proud to take a different view of the world. In the 1970’s we took on the
back page of Sailplane & Gliding and have had it ever since. Each bi-monthly advert is an original and never repeated.
Here’s a selection from then up to present day.
